What you get

• Size: 6" x 18", made vertical (numbers stacked, ideal for posts) or horizontal (ideal for mailboxes, fences and buildings)
• Material: .063" (1/16") 6061 aluminum, not steel, so it won't rust
• Reflective: engineer grade green reflective background with white reflective numbers, rated for 7 years outdoors
• Numbers: 3" to 4" tall depending on how many digits (up to 5)
• Single- or double-sided: double-sided signs can be read coming from either direction, which is what most emergency services recommend for roadside posts
• Pre-drilled holes for screws or bolts (mounting hardware and posts not included)

Does it meet Vermont E911 standards?

Vermont's Enhanced 911 standards call for address numbers that are reflective and at least 3" tall, placed where they can be seen from the road and high enough to stay above the snow. Every sign we make uses reflective numbers at least 3" tall. Some towns have their own rules, like 4" numbers or signs readable from both directions, so check with your town if you're not sure.

How to order

1. Pick single- or double-sided and vertical or horizontal, then check out.
2. We email you to confirm your house number (and a road name or arrow if you'd like one) and send a free proof. Nothing is made until you approve it.
3. We make your sign and ship it free anywhere in the US, or have it ready for free pickup at our Barre shop.

Where to put it

• Mount it 4 to 6 feet off the ground at the end of your driveway, facing traffic, so it stays visible above snowbanks.
• On a shared driveway, put a sign at the road and another where the driveway splits to each home.
• Keep brush, branches and tall grass trimmed back from it.
