Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

Third-Party Content: We require explicit written permission before reproducing any copyrighted material, logos, or designs you do not own. This includes but is not limited to:

• Corporate logos and branding

• Sports team logos and mascots

• Licensed characters or imagery

• Copyrighted artwork or photography

• Trademarked designs or slogans

Permission Required: For any logos, trademarks, or copyrighted material not owned by you, written authorization from the copyright holder must be provided before we can proceed with production.

Client Responsibility: When you provide artwork, logos, or designs, you confirm you have the legal right to use and reproduce these materials. You agree to indemnify Granite City Graphics against any copyright infringement claims related to client-provided content.

Design Services & Ownership

Design Fees: We charge design fees for creating original concepts and layouts, separate from artwork fees for preparing existing designs for production. All fees are clearly outlined in your Jobber invoice.

Design Ownership: Unless you purchase our full digital rights package ($250), Granite City Graphics retains copyright to original designs we create. You receive usage rights for your intended application.

Digital Rights Package: For $250, you can purchase complete ownership of your design including all source files (JPEG, PDF, PNG, AI) with full rights to use, modify, and reproduce.

File Delivery: Design files are delivered in formats appropriate for your intended use. Source files and full ownership rights are only available through our digital rights package.

Service Terms

Quotes & Approval: All work requires written approval of quotes before production begins. Changes after approval may result in additional charges.

Production Timeline: Standard turnaround is 2 weeks. Rush orders available with additional fees (25-150% based on timeline).

Quality Standards: We maintain high quality standards and offer reprints for production issues. Customer approval of proofs releases us from liability for design elements.

Payment Terms: 50% deposit required for large orders. Full payment due before order completion. Processing fees apply: 3.5% (credit card), 1.5% (ACH).

Marketing Use: By using our services, you consent to Granite City Graphics photographing and sharing images of completed work on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) for marketing purposes. Personal information is never shared, only images of our craftsmanship. If you prefer your project not be featured on social media, please notify us during the ordering process.

Limitation of Liability

Service Limitations: Our liability is limited to the cost of the specific service provided. We are not responsible for consequential or indirect damages.

Material Limitations: Some services have material restrictions (e.g., laser engraving requires powder-coated surfaces, no cups with handles). These limitations are clearly communicated before service.

Third-Party Services: When outsourcing services or products, we act as a facilitator. Quality and delivery of third-party services are subject to their terms and conditions.

Window Tinting Liability: Front window tinting services require customer signature on liability waiver acknowledging legal risks and assumption of responsibility for any citations or legal issues.

Warranty & Returns

Window Tinting: Lifetime warranty on windshield PPF for material and installation defects. Standard window tint warranty terms apply.

Product Defects: We stand behind our work and will address legitimate quality issues. Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or customer-approved design elements.

Custom Orders: Due to the custom nature of our work, returns are generally not accepted unless due to our error.

Business Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Closed Saturday-Monday.

Confidentiality: We maintain strict confidentiality regarding our suppliers and business relationships.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
